BROOKWOOD BUNGALOW MAKOVER

So this is it. The before pics of the Brookwood Bungalow. I wanted to give you all the fug and ug of what this house was and what this forever on-going project looks like. That is probably the main reason I still don’t have “after” photos. I don’t know if I ever will with my own house. It will always be a work-in-progress in my eyes and that is my curse but also the reason for starting this blog. I wanted to create a platform that I can go to see the ever changing things that happen here as well as at my client’s homes. I love this aspect of my job and while I am self-trained and always learning, I love what I do. The stress, the people, the creativity, all of it. I will be sharing side by sides of what we have no transformed it in to and how we have personalized it and customized it to our own taste. Here is BEFORE the transformation!

So keep in mind, when I saw this house for the first time, I fell in love. Of course not for the 60/70’s character or the “old lady musk” it had. I fell in love with the potential of it. I knew what Sean and I would make out of it and I had to go for it. We both knew that we were purchasing this house with the intention to completely gut it and start over. That is the beauty behind all of this! We got to start from scratch!

The backyard was not in the initial budget but we had a lot of clean up to do and we made it as open and neutral as possible just to live with it. We will show you what we have done in the next few years to completely transform the backyard.

We did keep one thing and that was the fruit bearing Orange Tree! Because… well… its Orange County!

I can’t wait to show you all what we have done to this project! We got to add every element we loved “pre-baby” and I will show you how we have had to adjust for the Easton to fit perfectly in the home we created. I hope you enjoy what is to come!
